Create a professional sounding show from your lounge room

Starting a podcast can be a great way to get your message out into the world, build your brand, connect with potential customers or build stronger relationships with the ones you’ve got.

It can also be an amazing creative outlet if you’ve got a brain full to the brim with great ideas and you know there’s an audience out there just waiting to consume them.

When I started in radio two decades ago, if you wanted to host your own show you had to find a way to penetrate the vault-like broadcast industry.  But now, some of the biggest shows in the world exist entirely online and are created by people recording their show at home with zero radio experience.

But building a kick-arse podcast people love isn’t something that happens overnight.

It’s also not guaranteed.

So if you want your podcast to be a success you have to make sure you start it the right way.

Going it alone can mean hours of Googling, lots of mistakes and a mountain of confusion about what went wrong.

So why not save yourself the punish of months (or years) of trial and error and fast-track your way to a successful podcast in PodSchool!

Are these things holding you back from starting a podcast?

What is PodSchool?

PodSchool is an online podcasting course designed to take you from no idea to nailing it and it was created by me… Rachel Corbett.

About Rachel CorbettI spent the first 12 years of my career in front of the microphone hosting breakfast and drive radio shows for some of the biggest networks in Australia and I’ve also hosted over ten podcasts including Google Australia’s first podcast, ReThink.

I’ve also worked behind the scenes as Head of Podcasts for two major audio networks, Mamamia and now Nova Podcasts, overseeing the creation and development of almost 60 shows

So, if you’re looking for someone who knows what they’re talking about when it comes to best-practice podcasting, you’ve come to the right place.

In PodSchool, I’ve taken all my years of professional knowledge and experience creating, recording, editing, promoting and presenting podcasts and put it all together in one place so you don’t have to spend months making mistakes you can avoid before you get started.

Plus you can do it all at your own pace because the videos are ready to go and you get a full year’s access to the materials which is plenty of time to get through everything and start podcasting.

I open up the course a few times a year so if you’re keen to find out when it’s open next you can join the waitlist anytime at the PodSchool website.

Can I record in GarageBand then import into Au for editing or can I record directly inside Au

Hey Derry, if you’re going to use Audition to edit I’d just record directly into that program. Thanks, Rach
